Our Story
Bumir is an organisation based in the Romanian capital, Bucharest. The acronym of the name is formed from the motto from which the organisation was originally born: welfare, merit, involvement, empowerment. Initially, the organization was formed out of a desire to give a fair start, regardless of background and management background to people who want to become small local entrepreneurs and grow their natural products. The issue of people from disadvantaged groups is one of Bumir's focuses. Promoting a one-to-one consultancy regime in a voluntary system the team has formed in a natural way with experts in the area of consultancy, management, alternative forms of education, communication and public relations and collaborates with psychologists and sociologists. The idea behind Bumir was to form a base of specialists that people from disadvantaged groups can call upon, who are prepared to help voluntarily through involvement with the aim of social empowerment. Thus, promoting equality and through direct training, based on statistical analysis the organisation's experts have been involved in online promotional campaigns, consulting local producers at the beginning of their journey, supporting associations of children with disabilities, fundraising and training. The concept of teamwork in the Bumir organisation emerged as a development need, so the members of the organisation realised that together they could pool their knowledge and call on external collaborators, which implicitly leads to the maximisation and optimisation of the organisation.
