OUR PROJECTS

Through ongoing projects BUMIR aims at sustainable development of the education sector and non-discriminatory access to resources for the individuals and institutions involved, providing models of good practice and supporting the community by offering new opportunities for personal and professional development.

PROJECT //  "Together for a responsible community"

"Together for a responsible community" is a project that aims to raise awareness of environmental damage and to train adults with a series of concrete actions that they can implement both individually and collectively to protect nature. The project is directly targeted at rural communities aged between 25 and 65.

The objectives of the project are the following:

  1. Develop pro-nature behaviours to protect the environment and engage adults in the fight against climate change.

  2. Increasing civic spirit, social responsibility by involving citizens in joint action to protect the environment.

Benefits of citizen participation in the project:

  • Learning concrete actions that citizens will learn in the workshops and can implement immediately (examples of actions: how to recycle a bottle correctly, what to replace a number of materials that are degradable with, colour coding, reusable versus non-reusable materials, etc.)

  • Raising awareness and how citizens can become actively involved in protecting the environment and increasing understanding of the role of the individual in the food chain.

  • Learning concrete actions with double benefits (protection of natural resources and long-term economy)

  • Certificates of participation.

  • Online access to materials presented in the programme to ensure a sustainable effect.

PROJECT //  “Resilience and inclusion for the military”

The increasingly volatile, uncertain, complex and ambiguous international security environment has continued to require the deployment of military personnel to various theatres of military operations and the success of military action is also largely dependent on the state of the military.  At the same time, the routine life of the soldier, full of restrictions, privations and dangers, permanently placed at the service of the country by the military oath, makes the soldier, whether male or female, emotionally charged and constantly concerned to serve his country. For Europe, caring for those who defend or have defended us is fundamental both to the morale of the serving or former soldier and to the ability of the state to respond and meet their needs to overcome any mental problems they may face. There is also a concern to prevent exclusion from civil society as a result of trauma from work in theaters of operations. The environment in which military personnel work or have worked can lead to mental disorders such as post-traumatic stress disorder. It becomes easier for an active military member or veteran if they are aware of these disorders and learn how to manage them. In this sense, identifying the symptoms of PTSD, managing them and developing effective coping techniques, social inclusion and support for disabled servicemen and women is the main focus of this international project we propose, Resilience and inclusion for the military.

This is the motivation that led us to choose the theme for the Resilience and inclusion for the military project, because we will provide them with easy-to-use tools, from anywhere, without having to go to a psychology office.

The overall objective of the project is to socially include active military and veterans through the use of a digital app, booklets and online course to identify and manage post-traumatic stress.
